What is a Reservist Soldier?

The citizen soldiers, alternately referred to as reservists, who compose the Reserve Force are those reservists of the Armed Forces of the Philippines who are incorporated into the Reserve Force, as follows:
 
1. COMMISSIONED Officers under Circular 30 s-87, Procurement and appointment of Reserve Officer.

2. Circular 6, Commissioning of Elected Government Officials and Presidential Appointees in the Reserve Force, AFP.

3. Graduates of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) basic and Advance courses that were issued orders as enlisted or officer reservists of the AFP.
 
4. Graduates of authorized basic military training/instructions that as a result thereof, were issued orders as reservists of the AFP.

5.
Ex-servicemen and retired officers of the AFP and other armed forces that have diplomatic relations with the Philippines who were honorably discharged or retired from the service and who are Filipino citizens upon their appplication;
 
6. Recognized World War II guerrillas who were honorably discharged from the service;
 
7. Commissioned officers and enlisted personnel under the affiliated Reserve category and civilian graduates of the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) who were commissioned in the AFP.
 
8. Commissioned officers and enlisted personnel under existing laws including those procured under Project 36-70 and those to be commissioned or enlisted in the reserve force under the enactment of the said act.

- Philippine Army Affiliated Reserve Unit (PAARU) Refresher Training
- Organizational Training (OT)
- Unit Active Duty Training (UADT)
- Command Post Exercise (CPX)
- Assembly Test (AT)
- Pre -Mobilization Training (Pre-Mob)
- Field Artillery Orientation Training (FAOT)
- Disaster Emergency Assistance Relief and rescue Training (DEARRT)
- Environmental Protection Training (EPT)
