YES! You can be a Reservist if you have kids or married.
Regular Active Soldiers are not allowed to have tattoos, it is however, more lenient in the reserve force thus allowing a reservist to serve if they have tattoos or extra piercing but a soldier should always look presentable when wearing his/her uniform. This means that tattoos should be hidden and men are not allowed to wear earrings.
